We have had the opportunity to work with Schaefer Shelving International (SSI) to create a custom e-commerce solution for their business-to-business customers. SSI wanted a website that would allow their customers to easily shop for shelving and storage solutions, while also offering a range of customizations and features to meet their unique needs.
SSI came to us with a rather poorly implemented ASPDotNetStoreefront site. We worked closely with the client to rebuild the site in a more robust manner while filling in the requirements they requested along the way.
One of the key features of the website was the custom freight packing and shipping calculation, which we developed to ensure that customers received accurate and transparent shipping costs for their orders. This involved creating a system that could calculate shipping costs based on the size and weight of each item as well as the packing coefficient and other variables to ensure an accurate shipping estimate.
The end result was a fully custom e-commerce solution that met the unique needs of SSI and its customers. The website is optimized for ease of use and offers a range of features and customizations that set it apart from the competition.
